Therapy services
Engaging in therapy with Dr. Baxt typically starts with a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation. Initial sessions will determine aims of therapy and best strategies to work on the areas of concerns. Dr. Baxt’s treatment draws from evidence based psychotherapies (CBT & Family Systems), and is tailored to each individual and their strengths. You can expect to leave most sessions having gained a better understanding of the concern and with new coping skills to practice. Dr. Baxt works collaboratively with patients, their families, healthcare providers, and school professionals.

Scheduling:
Appointments are individually scheduled with Dr. Baxt. New patient appointments and on-going therapy sessions are arranged by contacting her directly. Many patients arrange a regular slot, others choose to schedule session to session. Session frequency varies by need, but most often is every other week initially and tapering to monthly or less once gains are made.
Kindly take a moment to consider how you will remember your scheduled appointment day, time, and location; you may wish to jot a reminder on your calendar. 24 hours cancellation notice is requested. Sessions cancelled with short notice may be charged.
Availability:
Dr. Baxt has varying availability depending on her current caseload. She will see patients on a first-come, first serve basis. Most appointments are offered during 8am to 5p with some evening hours available on specific days. New patient appointments are scheduled during daytime hours because these are longer sessions and provide existing patients priority for after-school/evening hours.
